Norway’s Maren Lundby was the best in today’s individual competition in Hinterzarten, Germany. Katharina Althaus secured the silver medal for the hosts while Sara Takanashi completed the podium.
Maren finished 14,4 points ahead of Althaus and just as yesterday, she had the longest jump of the day, this time with 105 m. Katharina finished second with jumps of 102.5 m and 99 m. Sara Takanashi took the third place 5,9 points behind the local athlete with jumps of 98 m and 100 m.
Ramona Straub (101.5 m, 97.5 m) missed the podium with 0.2 points, while another Japanese jumper, Yuki Ito (96.5 m, 98 m) came in fifth. Carina Vogt (97.5 m, 99 m) finished sixth, followed by Chiara Hoelzl (98 m, 97 m) and Juliane Seyfahrt (94.5 m, 96.5 m). The ninth place was occupied by Kaori Iwabuchi of Japan (94 m, 95 m). The TOP10 was completed by Ema Klinec (92 m, 95.5 m).
After today’s competition Maren Lundby and Katharina Althaus have both 360 points in the overall standings while the third place is currently occupied by Sara Takanashi who has 220 points.
The Ladies World Cup continues in Rasnov, Romania on the 6th and 7th of January.
