Germany’s Andreas Wellinger won today’s qualification at the normal hill in Pyeongchang, followed by Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki.
Wellinger, who landed on 103 m and got the highest points from the jury, finished 1.8 points ahead of Kamil Stoch and 3.9 points ahead of Dawid Kubacki. Stoch had a jump of 104 m, while Kubacki performed the longest jump of the day, landing on 104.5 m.
Richard Freitag came in fourth with 102 m, followed by Stefan Kraft and Markus Eisenbichler, who both reached to 102.5 m. Another German athlete, Karl Geiger, finished seventh, while the best Norwegian, who was Daniel Andre Tande this time, finished only on the eighth place. Stefan Hula and Simon Amman completed the TOP10.
There are altogether 50 jumpers who will compete on the normal hill and 7 who did not qualify for the Olympic competition which will take place Saturday at 13:35 CET.
