Andreas Stjernen has decided to continue his ski jumping career. The 29-year-old Norwegian is going to jump one more season.

I made the decision last week and it was a difficult one. I have been on the road for 15 years and it is soon time to do something else. However, I would still like to jump and that is why I have decided to have one more season. What motivates me the most is to get an individual medal.

According to head coach, Alexander Stoeckl, it is very good news that Andreas is motivated and continues one more year.

It is very important for me to have my training companion with me in Trondheim. We two are the only athletes from the Trondheim region who compete with the A-team so he is a very important part of my preparation for and during the season. – said Forfang to nrk.

It is not just Andreas who is going to continue his career, but Kenneth Gangnes has also decided to make a comeback after his 4th knee injury.

It is such a big thing that Kenneth chose to come back after his 4th ACL rupture. The first step now is important that he becomes healthy again. I hope that he can fight back to the level he used to be. -added Stoeckl.

The men’s team for the next World Cup season has seven athletes:

  • Andreas Stjernen
  • Anders Fannemel
  • Johann Andre Forfang
  • Kenneth Gangnes
  • Daniel Andre Tande
  • Robert Johansson
  • Halvor Egner Granerud

The ladies World Cup team has three members:
