Vincent Descombes Sevoie decided to ended his career on Saturday, 2nd of June.

“I think I gave it all since I was five and a half years old. One has to give 200% to be able to compete with the world’s best ski jumpers and ski jumping teams. I’ve sacrificed a lot during my career and currently I’m not sure I can afford this any longer. That was one reason why I’ve decided to end my career.” said the 34-year-old French from Chamonix on ski-nordique.net.

Vincent Descombes Sevoie was active for almost 12 years in the ski jumping World Cup, taking part in 188 individual competitions. He achieved his best result in an individual competition in Ruka in 2016, taking the 5th place. Constantly good jumps led him to the 16th place in the overall ranking of the season 2016/17.

Winterszus.pl wishes him all the best for his future!
