The Austrian ski jumper, Florian Altenburger, has decided to end his career. We wish him all the best.
The 25-years-old Austrian Florian Altenburger scored his first World Cup points in 2017 in Garmisch-Parenkirchen where he finished on the 27th place. Last year he didn’t get any chance to start in the WC. In the overall Continental Cup in 2018/2019 he was ranked as 70th with only 56 points.
After long consideration I have decided to end my career. Thanks to all my fans, friends, sponsors and coaches who always have supported me on my way. The biggest thanks goes to my family. Without them all this would not have been possible. Now it’s time to start a new chapter, set new goals and adventures. See you. – wrote Florian Altenburger on his Facebook profile.
