Rok Justin from Slovenia secured victory in both competitions that took place on the HS97 hill in Rasnov, Romania.
In the first competition on Saturday, August 31, the Slovenian jumped 98m and 88.5m which led to his first victory this season. Justin was closely followed by the Austrian Markus Schiffner, who had longer jumps (96.5m & 95m), but more points deducted due to better wind conditions. Stefan Hula from Poland completed the podium on the third place after having jumped 91m and 90m.
The German Moritz Baer came in fourth since he landed on 98m and 80.5m. Filip Sakala from the Czech Republic rounded up the TOP5 with jumps on 90m and 90.5m.
Rok Justin also dominated the second competition on the following day, as he jumped 94.5m and 97m. His performance was rewarded with high grades from the judges. Two Norwegians reached the podium in this competition: Andreas Granerud Buskum came in second, having jumped 94.5m and 97.5m. His teammate Joakin Aune rounded up the podium on the third rank. The 26 year-old landed on 94m and 98.5m.
Markus Schiffner, who was second placed the day before, reached the fourth place with jumps on 95m and 97.5m. Roman Sergeevich Trofimov from Russia completed the TOP5 (92.5m &97m).
In addition to Justin’s victories this weekend, he also took the lead in the COC overall ranking with 399 points, having a margin of 97 points to the currently second placed Klemes Muranka (POL).
The next COC competition is going to take place in Lillehammer from September 14-15.
