The season 2019/2020 has ended way too early due to coronavirus. Katharina Althaus decided to support medical stuff and started to sew protective masks for them.

Katharina Althaus became fond of sewing the past few years. She says herself that she can sew many things – from sports bags to hoodies.

This time she has decided to sew protective masks for doctors and medical stuff in working in hospitals. Her friend, Patrick Schmid is a paramedic. Also her neighbour is a doctor and thanks to them the German athlete has decided to help and sew some protective masks that are highly needed these days.

Her work has started with checking patterns on the Internet. She has made 30 masks so far and she says that’s not the end yet.
